Count Down

In less than six weeks we start our journey towards Colorado. We have a required month long Culture and Language School in Colorado Springs that starts on June 2nd. Our whole family will be in school, even Harper and Ember. The girls classes will be about learning what it is like to be third culture kids; growing up in a different culture, from a different culture. Our classes will help us adjust to living, doing family, and ministry in a different culture.

From Colorado we head back to Idaho to finish packing. We will say goodbye to family and friends here in Sandpoint before we head down to Redding. Once in Redding we want to connect with as many people as we can before we leave for Cambodia at the end of July. The girls both start school August 14th, and we want to be there for at least two weeks before so we can adjust a little beforehand. We will have a dinner event at the end of July in Redding, more details to come.

Prayer
Please pray with us for finances, safe travel, and family connection. We have to pay for culture school in the next couple weeks, as well as plane tickets to Cambodia. We are about 1/4 of the way to funding culture school, so please pray with us for the rest of the money to come in time.

Our car has a case of the wobbles. The mechanics tell us its the tires being worn funny and its safe, but it feels uncomfortable to drive. As you can see above we are traveling a lot between now and Cambodia, so please pray the car holds together long enough for us to get everywhere we need to go.

In the midst of packing, traveling, working, culture school, and finishing some other projects, we still feel that we are called to prioritize family. With everything going on we know we need wisdom and discernment in how to partner and love each other through all the transition. We are very excited for our move to Cambodia and believe it will also be good for our family. Please partner with us in prayer as a family to make the most of this wild and exciting season.

I (Aaron) started working part time as an independent contractor last month. With that shift I have been getting new vision for communication. From now on you should see a blog post every two weeks. These posts will be short little updates and stories that will give you insight into our journey. We also will send out a quarterly newsletter sharing the bigger picture of our time and ministry in Cambodia.
