It's cold here. A strange contrast to the hot and smokey Redding we left a month ago. Today marks our first post to our family web site blog. It seems that raw and unrefined distinguishes our families habits. Not that we don't value intentionality, quite the contrary. Doing the right things well is the reason we regularly find ourselves embarking on new territory... the type of new territory that is met with unprepared expectancy, no matter how hard we plan.
So how does one start the first of an unknown amount of blogs, newsletters, updates? How does one share the thoughtful details of the process that includes teaching our children to seek the heart of the Father as we journey together into a corporate YES that has and will take us to more new territory? How does one pull friends and family into the mundane details of preparing finances and talking with insurance agents? Those are some of the questions in which we sit with the Lord as of late. Seeking the Father for what He is up to when it comes to our family's transition to Cambodia. And those are some of the many questions we look forward to working out along side of you, our community. So with little much else to say other than WELCOME to us, here begins the first of many correspondences between our family and yours. May our words encourage and inspire. May our words draw us closer to you and you to us. May our words allow for us to better recognize our interdependence, no matter how many miles may be between us. And, most importantly, may the Lord shine through every triumph and every loss that we may be privileged to communicate to each other. Shalom, Megan
